About Mrs. Woodward
This is my 7th year teaching at Boulder Creek School, and my second year teaching fourth grade! My first five years at Boulder Creek were spent teaching 8th grade literature and language arts. I had a fantastic time teaching fourth grade last year....I truly enjoy this age. Also, our entire team of 4th grade teachers are wonderful people who want to see every child feel successful.
I began my teaching career at Parson's Jr. High where I taught Language Arts and Literature to 6th and 7th graders. Before teaching, I worked as the Children's Program Coordinator with the Shasta County Women's Refuge for many years. I have also provided outreach youth services to young girls while working with The Girl Scouts of America.
I have a big family! I have four grown children: Chris, Alexandra, Torie and Trevor. They are spread out all over the United States, but come home to visit as often as they can. I am over the moon happy to have two grandchildren---twins! Mikah and McKenna just turned two on August first, and belong to my youngest daughter, Torie. She and her husband, Matthew, are expecting their third child in November.
Of course, I better mention my husband! Mark is a Vice President with TriCounties Bank and also teaches at National University. We have been married for 34 years. We enjoy cooking, travelling, and working in our yard and around our house. Oh, we also totally dote on our three cats, Fat Face, Abigail and Little Cat.
